Remembering Mum .....

My Mum died 6 years ago today ...it saddens me that I didn't always tell her what I felt about her...whats even more poignant is that it's my brother's birthday too.........Happy Birthday Ade....xx

  1. Happy Birthday to your brother. It's hard knowing there is always something more we could have said to the ones we love who are gone. I am sure she feels your emotion. xox Corrine

  2. The pain of loss seems more acute at this time of year. Take care of yourself.

  4. Loosing someone you love at Christmas time is especially hard. I lost my son nine years ago last Thursday. Thinking of you

  6. This is such a hard season for those who have lost loved ones - especially during the season. All around celebrating and yet inside we mourn the loss of our loved one as the anniversary reminds of of the loss even more keenly. Seems a double hardship. Yet, we celebrate their lives lived too. My mom died December 2nd two years ago and I haven't been able to get into the holidays still like I used to. I will never celebrate Thanksgiving again like I used to. Anyway, I digress. What I wanted to say was that your mom, as all mom's do, knew you heart and soul and that she would have known every single expression of your heart as it was reflected in your voice, your face, the feel of your hugs. She knew you loved her. You can not lose someone without going back over all you could have or should have done and not find something to regret. Do not let that pull you down. I am sure you always loved her and loved her well and that she knew it then as she knows it now. That she would have you banish all thoughts about what you could have done better and simply live and continue to honor her memory. Knowing you I know not a person around you could not be but blessed. She had to have felt inordinantly proud of you. I am sure she is still close to you now and that you will one day be reunited. She will not want you to waste a moment on regrets for what you should have done better. You did just fine by her I know you did. Hugs, Lisa

  7. I'm sure she knows how you felt. It shows in these pictures. (They are adorable by the way.) Thanks for the reminder for me to let my mother know how I feel before it's too late.

  11. Hi Lorna. Sorry you are missing your dear Mom. I never really had a Mom in the traditional sense but I was very close to my Dad so I can relate. Beautiful pictures.
