An old Wallhanging.......

This is a piece I did for my degree show about 3 yrs ago now .....it's a fabric collage of bits of knitted fabric I made ....

  1. What fantastic textures. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Thanks Dian ..yes its also really sparkly in real life photo wasn't that great....xx

  3. Sorry I haven't been to yours in ages - 50 swaps + life is so wonderfully time consuming! Start yours now & count me in ;)

I'm posting later today with Beate's card, the originater (is this a word?) of this idea.

Your hanging is great & the detail pics make me think of your sparkly ATC's....hmmm! Wonderful inspiration :)

  4. Just had a lovely voyeuristic time "travelling" around that top image..... wonderful! Loved the top right with the image of the woman. Makes me wish I had persevered with knitting machines............

  5. Great work Lorna - the knitted pieces really work so well with the other textures.

  6. Knitting, texture, sparkly bits, fab transfers. Ooooooooooh, I love this.

  8. I love the little knitting swatches, they remind me of the ones I cut out of my Japanese knitting book that I picked up at a thrift store years ago.
Your style is apparent large and small!
    xoxo, Kim
