Happy Birthday Ryan...Happy Solstice.....Happy Monday (not the group)......

AWWW...Cute ...I remember those days as if they were yesterday.....
Please note the hat ....

Still wearing a hat .......

Part of the clan ......

It is my eldest son's 31st birthday today .......can't believe where the time has gone .... he was born on the Solstice ...the longest day in more ways than one !!!....Happy Birthday Ryan.... love you .....xx

We went round to his place yesterday for a double birthday BBQ as it was his girlfriend Cassi's birthday yesterday too. He has just moved out to the sticks in a lovely typical English country village. The row of cottages were part of converted stables. They look out onto a lovely communal grass area then at the front is an old churchyard and church .....very quiet !!!.........perfect for a Sunday afternoon.
Happy Solstice.......xx

Nearly the Solstice.........

Not long to the Summer Solstice.....wish I was going I have never been to the solstice even though Stonhenge is only about 30 miles away ....maybe next year .......it's the only time they allow people into the stone circle ....when I was a child you could picnic amongst them but now when you visit the stones are protected by a rope circle to stop people touching them ...OUTRAGEOUS .....I am a stone toucher as well as a tree hugger ...still you can touch the stones at Avebury.....xx

Ruby's ATCs and Singing Sophie in Sherborne ...oh and a Sombrero...

Ruby would like to know if anyone would like to swap ATCs with her. She has made 5 for swaps ....my camera has run out of battery though and my phone has started taking strange coloured photos any ideas why ????so will post pics of actual cards when all equipment playing ball again ............She is just too cute in the hat and clip on earrings that we got from the jumble sale ...

Ruby being creative ....
..

Drove a 150 mile round trip to watch and listen to Sophie singing in Sherborne Abbey last night . The group were singing Rachmaninov's Vespers by candlelight(all in Russian too ...)It was quite amazing in such a beautiful setting..... Ruby came with me ...........although I'm sure it wasn't her chosen music style she was really good and listened for over an hour ...well done that girl or girls should I say....the sat nav took me a strange way home through the heart of Dorset lots of narrow country roads ........quite picturesque in the day I guess but not ideal at 12 O' clock at night......sorry my camera's battery was exhausted when I went to take some pics of the event ...story of my life ....had to use my phone had the cheap seats as you can tell!!!.........

Augustus or Artoogus as Ruby calls him......sporting a fine sombrero that we got at the jumble sale .....
