Remember Dorinda and the Ganesh wallhangings ???....

Decided to imortalise Dorinda...I have a vision that this will be a textured embroidered piece for my textile show in October thought I'd have a circus /fairground theme .......even thought I might have jugglers... fire eaters at the private view .....mmmm maybe not with all that fabric around ....
Progress on Ganesh wallhangings....
The wallhangings 'hangin' in the playground to dry.... They are now in the second stage.... the children have batiked the edges( look at the video how confident they were at batiking the edges they are only 10 ...thought they did brilliantly for 1st time at using a tjanting) and used coloured dyes for the borders the next step is shisha mirror work and tassels .......will make the shisha stitch a bit simpler for 10 yr olds though ......xx

  8. Ha, Lorna! I have a beautiful kind of Sgt. Pepper's satiny jacket I could send you so you may act as ringmistress. By the way, I don't think there is any such thing as "just a little show". Go revel in it! It's a BIG deal.

"Calliope music" just made me laugh. I chat frequently with bloggers in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and the US. We all speak English, right? But every once in awhile . . . I jumped in on some comments about a "swede" recently. Who KNEW it was what I called a "turnip"!? Everyone involved giggled for days.
