Today was the first day of the GCSE Textile Exam for my 28 students here are some of the pieces .....I think they did really well I am so proud of them ...sadness too as it may be the last one for me .....:(( Thank you Evy for the Leibster Award .....much appreciated ...x
Hi Lorna, I am a Textiles teacher too, and doing the OCR Textiles Design course. Which board do you use? These are lovely pieces by the way. I love it too when their ideas start to become reality :)
They have worked hard! I shall look forward to seeing the finished pieces. Why do you say it might be your last one? Is your school not doing textiles next year?
I like very much your effects of textures in the machine, they are always spectacular! Small Award for an immense talent, I am happy that this small reward affects you, thank you!

I am a qualified Textile Teacher but now I am lucky enough to follow my dream being a full time Textile Artist and I love every minute I spend creating in my studio at The West Wing. I am passionate about textiles and am privileged to share my skills with others.
I run workshops for schools, colleges and groups.
I work 1 to 1 with individuals who might want help with basic sewing or more advanced techniques.
Commissions are always welcome please get in touch with me to discuss your requirements. No textile job is too small .....:)
I sell my work through Etsy and you can find me on Facebook at Artymess Textile Art ...come and say hello.
Thanks for taking the time to have a glimpse at my world.
Thanks for stopping by to say Hello. Here I post snippets and snapshots of my life. Feel free to leave a comment or E mail me about anything you like. I am happy to hear from you.........Lorna xx
Hello new friends ....Thanks for visiting...feel free to email me with anything you'd like to ask
Come and visit my other blog ArtyMaker..I have been lucky enough, along with 8 other Textile artists to take part in The Enliven Project....a project organised by Eastleigh Borough Council....which means that we are working as artists in residence in local Charity shops ...we will create an outfit out of goodies we find in our allocated shop which will be put on display for a month. The outfit will then be featured in the Eastleigh music Festival weekend in July
Here is the facebook page ..with lots of pics .....
