Step back in time .........

Gypsy Rose Lorna and the little'un in the bender.......

'Buy me pegs Sir ...help me feed the little'uns'........a bunch of 'eather for luck or cross me palm wi' silver and I'll tell 'ee fortune .....'

Visited Milestones the other day ......interesting stepping back in time .....my best bit of course was a cabinet full of sewing machines.....oh I'm so predictable...

Will we all get home on this ??

His Master's Voice .....

Who had a kitchen like this in the sixties?
Now my favourite bit ......of course.....

these look more like surgical instruments........

Now the scary thing is that I can remember Ironmongers like this and I used to love them ....I think we probably still have them in Wales ......beats B&Q anyday...AND you could buy 1 screw instead of packs of 500 !!.....

One HELL of a pin cushion .....

Nothing like getting the kids working .......

Believe it or not I have a massive collection of wooden shoe trees I'll have to blog about them soon ....

Fancy goods ???.......

Should have said the Gentle Giant.....Hope you enjoyed the step back in time....xx

  1. Looks like a great place to see what life used to be like. Those butter molds were swell and your antique sewing machines, ahhhh. I like all those hand operated tools, nothing breaks and you don't need electricity to use them. xox Corrine

  3. Ooh I love it! I wanna go there too. I have a sewing machine shot for you coming up soon. I had to take it in Jaipur and was thinking of you of course! You could have been an actress, Lorna...a character actress I'm sure. Our kitchen didn't look quite like that but our living room was oh so modern and well, I think I even gave you a swatch of the barkcloth draperies for your collection.
