What a wonderful display. Do you know what I like? I like the way you have thread all tangled in the basket and the "work in progress" in the embroidery hoop etc. Adds a lovely touch to the whole thing......
Wonderful, Lorna! I especially like the touch with the basket of your materials (very educational!) That Day of the Dead embroidery is knockout! Great fabric bio too. My neighbor was just commenting on how great one of your pieces is last night. I keep it right by my computer and am always handling the fabric postcard you made me. ( I even used the backside as a background for one of my Etsy items the other day! xoxo Kim
How very beautiful! Not only your works, but your staging and display. Oh, Lorna, if I were to attend your show, I may be tempted to break out the glass, not to steal your works, but simply to touch them. I am about to send a link to your post to another blogger about to enter her first show later this week. Thanks for the wonderful start to my week!

I am a qualified Textile Teacher but now I am lucky enough to follow my dream being a full time Textile Artist and I love every minute I spend creating in my studio at The West Wing. I am passionate about textiles and am privileged to share my skills with others.
I run workshops for schools, colleges and groups.
I work 1 to 1 with individuals who might want help with basic sewing or more advanced techniques.
Commissions are always welcome please get in touch with me to discuss your requirements. No textile job is too small .....:)
I sell my work through Etsy and you can find me on Facebook at Artymess Textile Art ...come and say hello.

Come and visit my other blog ArtyMaker..I have been lucky enough, along with 8 other Textile artists to take part in The Enliven Project....a project organised by Eastleigh Borough Council....which means that we are working as artists in residence in local Charity shops ...we will create an outfit out of goodies we find in our allocated shop which will be put on display for a month. The outfit will then be featured in the Eastleigh music Festival weekend in July
