I have embarked on a personal project. I am using an anthology of 100 Classic Love Poems as inspiration for a series of 100 Textile art postcards. My aim is to make 1 a day and then sell them on Etsy . I decided to use the love poems as this follows my ideals of 'spreading the textile love'.I hope you enjoy following my journey of love and creativity ....xx
really love this idea, and they all look lovely, I have been playing with the idea of a fabric book with exerps from shelleys poems, there is something powerful and mystical about poetry gives your work a whole extra dimension, love it!!!!

I am a qualified Textile Teacher but now I am lucky enough to follow my dream being a full time Textile Artist and I love every minute I spend creating in my studio at The West Wing. I am passionate about textiles and am privileged to share my skills with others.
I run workshops for schools, colleges and groups.
I work 1 to 1 with individuals who might want help with basic sewing or more advanced techniques.
Commissions are always welcome please get in touch with me to discuss your requirements. No textile job is too small .....:)
I sell my work through Etsy and you can find me on Facebook at Artymess Textile Art ...come and say hello.
Thanks for taking the time to have a glimpse at my world.
Thanks for stopping by to say Hello. Here I post snippets and snapshots of my life. Feel free to leave a comment or E mail me about anything you like. I am happy to hear from you.........Lorna xx

Come and visit my other blog ArtyMaker..I have been lucky enough, along with 8 other Textile artists to take part in The Enliven Project....a project organised by Eastleigh Borough Council....which means that we are working as artists in residence in local Charity shops ...we will create an outfit out of goodies we find in our allocated shop which will be put on display for a month. The outfit will then be featured in the Eastleigh music Festival weekend in July
Here is the facebook page ..with lots of pics .....
