It's my last day at school on Monday so I have spent the weekend sorting out my room ........This was part of a costume made for Southampton carnival about 5 yrs ago .....we had an artist who makes costumes for Notting Hill Carnivale ......we had a week to make about 20 costumes we stayed late every night and my pupils and myself made the costumes it was such fun and in fact this week one of my pupils was talking about it and she said taking part in it was the most fun she had ........it was brilliant .........but I am now dismantling the wings as it's time for me to fly off for other adventures elswhere .........x
Fantastic wings, not sure they are big enough for you oh dragonfly princess and where you will be flying in the universe!!!! Love seeing this photo of you. xox
Those wings are amazing, I am intrigued by the costumes at the festivals and wonder how they are made. Monday is going to be a sad day for you. What are your plans now?
I suppose there are positive as well as negative thoughts swirling around in your head right now. Love the wings, have a safe journey, wherever they may take you.
Your wings are so amazing and congratulations on reaching this new milestone in your life - I am sure these wings will take you a very long way into your new creative life! Big hugs, Suzy

I am a qualified Textile Teacher but now I am lucky enough to follow my dream being a full time Textile Artist and I love every minute I spend creating in my studio at The West Wing. I am passionate about textiles and am privileged to share my skills with others.
I run workshops for schools, colleges and groups.
I work 1 to 1 with individuals who might want help with basic sewing or more advanced techniques.
Commissions are always welcome please get in touch with me to discuss your requirements. No textile job is too small .....:)
I sell my work through Etsy and you can find me on Facebook at Artymess Textile Art ...come and say hello.

Come and visit my other blog ArtyMaker..I have been lucky enough, along with 8 other Textile artists to take part in The Enliven Project....a project organised by Eastleigh Borough Council....which means that we are working as artists in residence in local Charity shops ...we will create an outfit out of goodies we find in our allocated shop which will be put on display for a month. The outfit will then be featured in the Eastleigh music Festival weekend in July
Here is the facebook page ..with lots of pics .....
I'd like to see someone run a marathon in that!
