Wow, they are fantastic! I need to get going with my birthday swap! Like the 'joyful frolic' & is that Corrines wonderfully decorated 'mail art' envelope?
ok, last clue - it is a print, onto a piece of smooth black slate (blown out a bit in the photo of it)which lives on out kitchen table, for hot dishes from the oven. What is the 'media' & the 'stamp' made from? ;)
OK, I'll tell! My D makes the most wonderful roast potatoes. A paper towel is placed into the serving dish so the oil drains off (yuk!) The boys are in such a hurry to eat that when they remove the drenched paper towel before taking them to the table they chuck it onto the slate. Clearing up later a beautiful greasy print is revealed for me to photograph. They all think I'm mad, I don't know why! ;) I did lay a plain piece of paper over it & it's wonderful to watch, but of course the oil keeps spreading. Could do it with hot wax, I guess....!The potatoes are great for being that little bit de-greased!

I am a qualified Textile Teacher but now I am lucky enough to follow my dream being a full time Textile Artist and I love every minute I spend creating in my studio at The West Wing. I am passionate about textiles and am privileged to share my skills with others.
I run workshops for schools, colleges and groups.
I work 1 to 1 with individuals who might want help with basic sewing or more advanced techniques.
Commissions are always welcome please get in touch with me to discuss your requirements. No textile job is too small .....:)
I sell my work through Etsy and you can find me on Facebook at Artymess Textile Art ...come and say hello.
Thanks for taking the time to have a glimpse at my world.

Come and visit my other blog ArtyMaker..I have been lucky enough, along with 8 other Textile artists to take part in The Enliven Project....a project organised by Eastleigh Borough Council....which means that we are working as artists in residence in local Charity shops ...we will create an outfit out of goodies we find in our allocated shop which will be put on display for a month. The outfit will then be featured in the Eastleigh music Festival weekend in July
Here is the facebook page ..with lots of pics .....
