Yay my colour palette has changed from reds to blue it must be getting warmer.....perhaps I am the textile equivalent of the little weather houses where the little man or woman comes out depending if it's wet or dry.......x

I loved enlarging these and seeing the textures up close! Can almost feel the velvet. Very pretty work.
ReplyDeleteThese are rich and compelling pieces. For some reason the blue feels especially warm and inviting, a quality that I usually associate with the warmer colors like red. Perhaps it's the purple hearts!
ReplyDeleteThanks Hannah and Lynn yes I resisted the temptation to add a 'pop' of orange it took all my might not to ..but I agree they have a warm quality they are a little more sparkly in real life ........x

ReplyDeleteI would have thought using reds and yellows would be easier in warmer weather and blues in the winter.......but am probably missing the point
Hi Anne thanks for the comment but I was aware recently that all my cards were on the red orange side of the colour wheel and I thought that maybe subconsciously (thats not right spelling surely?)I was choosing the 'warms to warm myself up then in Summer I would choose the 'cools' to cool myself ...mmmm just a theory...xx
